My passion has always been about art and telling a story. I’ve always loved creating something to ignite the senses of those around me - whether through theatre, writing, drawing or crafts.

As long as I can remember I’ve been enthralled with fantasy, mythology and magic. Anything that brings a unique perspective to the seemingly mundane. Greek mythology - with its colourful characters of gods and mortals interacting to create extravagant myths and legends - has forever been of interest to me. I’ve always loved that the ancient Greeks didn’t glorify their gods. They made mistakes; fell in love; were fickle and petty; switching between cruel and caring. They were bigger than life and they reflected what it meant to be human on a grander, more fantastical scale.

Cerberus was the three-headed dog who guarded the gateway to the Greek underworld. So what better mascot to have for my first collection of candles - and to stand guard of all that will follow? While often portrayed as a large mastiff or Rottweiler, we’ve given him a friendly, Aussie make-over in honour of my childhood companion, my blue heeler, Winnie. It seems a perfect fit to combine the simplicity of a family pet with a monstrous, mythical guard dog.

Candles set a mood. They add ambiance to any space. A fragrance can transport you to a familiar place, a particular time or even a different world. And that’s exactly what I want these candles to do. I want them to move you. Bring your senses alive. Make you feel or experience something. And to help transform your home into a place of relaxation and comfort, with a little touch of fantasy.
